about

Back in 2010 Lee Joseph and I released this album on Lee's Bacchus Archives/Dionysus Records label. The 500 hand-numbered copies sold out very quickly. Another 500 copies were pressed on blue vinyl which also sold out. The original metal plates are lost but we continue to search for them. If we find them we may do one more final pressing. Until then enjoy this amazing time capsule of The Beachcomber Trio playing LIVE at the Kahiki Supper Club in 1965. Located in Columbus, Ohio the Kahiki was one of the grandest Polynesian restaurants ever built! This special Bandcamp edition includes a bonus track. It is the FULL version of Yellow Bird which was edited for the album because of excessive talking. I think you will find this version delightful. Also, included are a few extra pictures and an article I wrote on bandleader Marsh Padilla. Mahalo!!
